EDUCATION SPECIFICS

The Three R’s; Reading, wRiting, and aRithmetic is the foundation of our academic schedule. Computer Studies including basic techniques will be taught. However our students learn “Pick Up a Book 1st” (PUB1) before sitting at a computer or using a calculator. This encourages them to use their vast brain resources to solve problems as opposed to looking for an electronic solution first. Our Science Department which includes both general and earth sciences is also a part of this foundation. As students get into the higher grades they will study agriculture, plant science, meteorology, and other dynamic math and science curricula. Beginning with these basic strengths gives our students the tools to move further with confidence into the higher disciplines.

Torah Studies, the complete Torah from Genesis (Bereshit) to Revelation (Hitgallut), are taught to our students. The basis of all that we teach is from the Word Of God. Our Messianic Jewish beliefs in Yeshua HaMaschiach/Jesus the Messiah are held in the highest position. All of our staff from the administration to the teachers and all of the support team are born again believers. Upon entering the higher grades, students may enroll in the Rabbinic/Pastoral program and achieve smicha (ordination) upon successful completion. We believe that all are called to ministry. For this reason each student’s exposure to the scriptures, what they mean and what they stand for is of the utmost importance.

Civic Studies and History; This department will encompass Social Studies (World and American History), Economics (fiscal responsibility, budgeting, etc.), Citizenship (how to interact within society with integrity and compassion) and Basic Life Skills (cooking, home maintenance, etc.).

Performing Arts; From Music including choral, orchestral, voice, individual instrument training and recording studio techniques to Fine Arts including painting, sculpture, photography, and graphic design to Dance including ballet, modern, tap, jazz and Davidic to Theatre including acting, stage craft and technical design . Media & Visual Arts classes including radio, television and film production are also offered.

Language and Linguistics; A diversity of languages are taught. Along with English as the major language, foundational training in Hebrew, Spanish and Chinese are part of the core curriculum. We also offer a wide selection of other languages including, but not limited to, the Arabic dialects, French, German, Greek, as well as Yiddish and Ladino.

Athletics and Physical Education; Student’s ability to stay attentive and retain the information they are given during the school day is intrinsically connected to their physical activity. We have a broad range of FUN-damental movement exercise for our elementary students, and advanced offerings including participation in athletic team sports starting at the middle school level. Go Maccabees! Our children are kept physically active each day which broadens their handling of all situations and keeps them healthy.

Our on-site DayCare service provides a full service nursery for infants 0-1 year olds. The service also includes a full care and activity schedule for toddlers 2-3 year olds. If children are to turn age 4 within 1 month of the beginning of the school year, they will enter our wonderful Pre-Kindergarten/Head Start Program. Why not start them off young!
